What to do when asked for a unique code after registering for your Carta account
Carta is an invitation-based platform. You need to have been issued a security or granted access to a company, law firm, or investment firm account to receive an email invitation to register.
In the past, you may have registered for your account and landed on a page that asked you to enter a unique code before proceeding. This particular page created confusion for our customers, so we released a few updates to better inform you on why you are seeing the page after creating your account and what you can do to access your portfolio on Carta.
First, we will describe three possible reasons why you are seeing this page. The most common reason our customers see this page is because they already have an existing account with a different email address. We’ll outline clear next steps for you to take.
