You are now able to update the option plan that an option grant or RSU is attached to through the modify workflow. You can do this by selecting an option grant or RSU on the left side, click the “Actions” button at the top left of the ledger and select “Modify.”

Please note, you are only able to modify one security at a time.

We will release the ability to modify the option plan attached to RSAs, SARs, CBUs and PIs shortly.

Now Board admins can manage access to board room under “Company > Roles and Permissions > Board”. We streamlined adding members, made status of invitation visible and moved company access to “People”.

Admins can also now resend invitation to board members who didn’t accept invitation to join Carta.

Now Legal and Company administrators can export a new customizable equity plan. There are 40+ columns to choose from, and you also have the ability to select multiple plans to export. The output file is a spreadsheet with each plan being its own tab.

The Custom Equity Plan report is the last one on the Equity Plan Analysis section, inside the Reports item, under the Capitalization dropdown.

We strongly recommend that you enable 2-factor authentication to keep your account secure.

If you do not have access to your device or cannot receive the code, you can raise a request to disable it through the Carta platform.

In case we do not have enough information to approve your request, you will now be able to schedule an identity verification call directly from the status update email - no need to contact support first.

To improve the user experience in our platform, we merged the Access and Roles pages together.
Now company access, roles, signatories and board admins can be managed in one place -- Permissions and roles page, under the Company dropdown.

You can now easily switch between your contact and additional emails on web.

Under the settings page you are able to add additional emails. Once you have multiple emails verified, you can select the email you would like to use as the main contact email.

We’ve made changes to the securities ledgers to clarify statuses and make it easier to understand recent activity on the cap table.

Statuses show the most recent legal changes that have occurred to a security. Securities active on the cap table are labeled “Outstanding.”

All securities have dots that represent activity.

• Green dots indicate an active security.
• Red dots indicate a security that is no longer active.
• Yellow dots indicate that the security holder has been terminated and the security will soon no longer be active.

Securities awaiting signature are indicated with labels.

• Orange indicates a security awaiting officer signature.
• Green indicates a security awaiting holder signature.

Paper securities are indicated with a gray background.

We are in the process of updating the bulk modify workflow across all ledgers. This update will provide a cleaner experience and allow to more easily add fields in the future.

We moved the modification reason to the first step and now ask for the type of modification - clerical error or amendment. This is for data tracking only, the option you select will not affect anything.

In the second step, we have also separated the fields into sections and added the ability to set certain fields as null.

In the final step we cleaned up the review screen to make it clearer what fields are being changed and the notifications that will be sent out.

Currently this workflow shows for options and certificates. It will be updated for convertibles, warrants, RSAs, RSUs, SARs and PIs shortly.

Now you can select board members who need to approve a resolution. This helps if you have committees or a board member’s contract will soon expire.

You can also decide if you want to send notifications or not, so you can create multiple resolutions and approvals without sending multiple emails.

We updated boardroom user experience and now hide all documents that users don’t have access to. This improvement is important for closed session part of the board meeting which is usually only attended by board directors.
