LP Wire Dashboard

What's new?

Carta's new LP Wire Dashboard provides centralized visibility of your LPs' wire instructions. You can easily track changes to LP wire instructions and ensure completeness and accuracy with a comprehensive view of payment details across all funds.

Whether you're preparing for a distribution, conducting wire confirmations, or ensuring compliance with your firm's ongoing audit requirements, you now have a single source of truth for all LP wire instruction data across your entire firm.

How does it work?

Access the LP Wire Dashboard by navigating to the Partners tab and selecting "Wire Instructions" to see the new experience.

Centralized wire instruction oversight

  • View all LPs' wire instructions across every fund in your firm in one consolidated dashboard
  • Identify LPs with missing or outdated wire instructions at a glance
  • Sort the columns to view which LP wire instructions have changed or been confirmed by the LP recently.
  • Use the Entered by column to have Audit visibility into who changed or confirmed the wire instructions.
  • Filter LPs based on specific criteria like missing instructions, recent updates, confirmation status or by fund.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control processes that require additional steps to be taken to verify wire instructions when changes occur.

View Details and Export

  • View the details of the LP’s complete wire information by clicking the View Details button on the far right of the table.
  • Export reports with the wire instruction status across all entities.

KYC AML Dashboard

What’s new?

Carta’s new KYC AML Dashboard provides greater visibility and control of your investor KYC (Know Your Customer) checks. It allows you to easily track requests and keep on top of KYC progress with a visual summary and details for each LP. Here’s how it works:

1. Initiate and track progress

  • Invite LPs to complete KYC, including prospective LPs who are not on your Partners Dashboard, and standalone KYC checks outside of Fund Closings
  • Remind investors to submit their KYC information and keep things moving
  • Monitor status updates and key dates, including when KYC was last updated for an investor, and the results of daily watchlist screenings

2. Consolidate KYC tasks across entities

  • Manage results for investors in multiple entities
  • See investor KYC checks across jurisdictions in one place
  • Ensure regulations are followed with data collection based on the entity’s country of domicile

3. Download results

  • Export summary reports for an overview of investor KYC results across all entities
  • Export Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reports for individual investor KYC results including risk scores that explain how a verdict was reached

What’s important about this change?

Traditional KYC providers and methods offer GPs very limited visibility into the process. GPs often don’t know how a KYC check is progressing or when it will be complete, and aren’t told why a certain verdict was reached. The KYC AML Dashboard transforms the experience of managing KYC for a fund, whether you’re onboarding LPs for the first-time or running periodic reviews.

How does it work?

To learn more, browse our support articles about Carta’s KYC services or read our guide to KYC compliance.

See the product in action in this interactive demo:

N.B. Carta’s KYC solution supports, but does not constitute, an AML program.

Fund admin dashboard spotlight

What’s new?

Spotlight is a new section on the Carta fund admin dashboard. It’s designed to sort and surface your most important workflows, starting with capital calls and distributions.

What’s important about this change?

Before Spotlight, it wasn’t always clear what needed your immediate attention upon logging into Carta, and key updates such as the status of active capital calls were not shown on the dashboard.

Now, your urgent work is surfaced on Spotlight as soon as you log in. Spotlight also consolidates activity across multiple entities, helping you save time and stay aware of priority tasks.

How does it work?

If there is relevant activity on your account, it will appear in the Spotlight section of your dashboard. Each item is displayed as a clickable tile. Simply click on a tile to go directly to the page you need.

Spotlight currently displays:

  • Capital call approvals that need your review.
  • Updates on active workflows as they progress such as capital calls and distributions.

ILPA-compliant notices for partner-level reporting

What’s new?

Partner-level ILPA notices are now available on Carta, making ILPA reporting faster, easier, and more reliable. With this update, you can generate, review, and distribute ILPA notices directly within Carta, at the same time as standard capital call and distribution notices.

What’s important about this change?

For firms, preparing ILPA-compliant notices for LPs is often an additional task alongside standard notices. It can require multiple software tools and manual efforts to book activity and prepare the outputs, adding time and complexity to a firm’s reporting workload.

On Carta, ILPA notices are now automatically generated and distributed at the same time as standard notices, streamlining the process for firms and ensuring all LPs receive them simultaneously.

How does it work?

  1. Ask your Carta team to switch on ILPA reporting for your fund
  2. Request a capital call or distribution following the standard workflow
  3. Review the ILPA-formatted notices in the app alongside the standard notices
  4. Once approved, the appropriate notices are distributed to your LPs

Multi-party Collaboration in Closings

What's new?

We've enhanced Carta Closings to support sophisticated investors and streamline the fundraising process with multi-party collaboration. This major update transforms Closings from a single-user experience into a collaborative platform where multiple LP contacts can access and complete the subscription process simultaneously.

With multi-party, GPs can share access to multiple contacts, including themselves, and LPs can invite multiple contacts (e.g. wealth advisors, lawyers, colleagues, additional signatories) to help complete their subscription documents—all while maintaining complete visibility and control.

Why is this important?

For sophisticated investors, completing subscription documents often requires input from multiple parties—financial advisors, legal counsel, authorized signatories, and others. Previously, this coordination happened offline through countless emails and document sharing, creating friction and delays.

While individual investors can easily complete forms themselves, larger institutional investors and more sophisticated LPs typically require multiple collaborators to review, complete, and sign subscription documents.

Key benefits:

For General Partners:

  • White-glove service: Pre-fill your LP’s subdocs while also being able to view and edit in-progress investor questionnaires to proactively assist your LPs through the subscription process
  • Enhanced investor management: Add multiple contacts per investor and proactively designate signatories when sending invitations
  • Broader visibility: Maintain a comprehensive view of all contacts associated with each LP in an updated investor ledger
  • Multi-party data room access: All LP contacts can now access your Closings data room when invited

For Limited Partners:

  • Flexible collaboration: Add team members, wealth advisors, joint subscribers or other stakeholders to help complete the sections of the questionnaire on your behalf
  • Transparent access & permissions: Maintain visibility into who has access to the questionnaire and define account contact permissions for managing the investment in Carta.

How does it work?

1️⃣ GP Access to Assist

GPs can now add themselves as an additional contact to prefill LP information and also edit investor questionnaires while they're in progress, allowing them to provide timely assistance to LPs navigating the subscription process. LPs are notified that the GP has this visibility, ensuring transparency throughout.

2️⃣ Adding Multiple Collaborators

For GPs: When adding a prospective investor, you can now include multiple contacts with their names, email addresses, and signatory roles. You can edit this list before sending invitations and view all contacts in an enhanced investor ledger.

For LPs: From the Closings welcome page, you can add or remove contacts, while specifying who has signing authority. New collaborators will receive email invitations to access the subscription.

3️⃣ Enhanced Data Room Access

Multiple stakeholders from a single LP entity can now access the Closings data room, ensuring everyone involved can securely access your fund’s information.

How do I learn more?

NEW: GP Carry Tracking

We're introducing GP Carry Tracking to eliminate the complexity and risk of manual carried interest management—creating an entirely new way to automate GP entity accounting and carry administration all in one integrated platform.

What's new?

We've built GP Carry Tracking from the ground up to solve the challenge of managing complex carry allocations and GP entities that are time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to track across funds.

  • Two integrated solutions in one platform: Manage both GP Entities and GP Carry on one platform, with automated data flows between fund-level events and individual GP member allocations.
  • Real time carry & capital account balances: Fund events that impact the GP entity flow through automatically, enabling interperiod reporting on carry and capital balances for GP members.
  • Complete Carry Visibility: Track vested and unvested carry percentages, capital commitments, and accrued carry amounts all in one view.
  • Automated PCAP Generation: Generate and share partner capital account statements directly from Carta, giving GPs full transparency into their carried interest with detailed breakdowns powered by the Carta general ledger.
  • Streamlined Carry Administration: Issue multiple carry grants to recipients while standardizing vesting plans across your firm. Auto-generate and execute legal documents through templated workflows that eliminate manual document creation.
  • Intelligent Rebalancing: When unissued or unvested carry gets allocated to managing members, our system automatically records and accounts for these changes with downstream transactions rebalancing carry accordingly.
  • Self-Service GP Portal: Transform complex legal language into an intuitive interface your partners can explore independently. Access PCAPs, K-1s, and financial reporting without back-and-forth emails or spreadsheet requests.
  • Deep Financial Insights: Dive into the numbers for any reporting period with views powered by our general ledger that show exactly where each figure originated, with a complete audit trail included.

New and improved user access management for Carta Fund Admin customers

We’ve improved the way you manage user access on Carta Fund Admin with a new layout for the People page and more intuitive permissions workflows. Only the look and feel of the page has changed—underlying access settings for all your users remain the same.

How it works

It’s now easier to see permissions at a glance on the People page, with access levels listed under Roles for each user and a breakdown by entity shown by hovering over the table.

Creating a new user is more straightforward, too. Each role is clearly defined during the access configuration process, so you know exactly what permissions you’re granting.

We’ve introduced a new flow for adding service providers – such as auditors – to your Carta account, so you can give external users the right level of access.

You’re also able to copy permissions from an existing user, streamlining the setup process and standardizing access across your firm.

Why it matters

With this release, you can manage permissions more efficiently and consistently. It’s now easier for you to ensure firm members and service providers only have access to the data and features necessary for their roles, reducing the risk of unauthorized access.

Availability

The new People page is available to all Carta Fund Admin customers. Only account admins are able to view and edit permissions for their firm.

Anything else I need to know?

Stay tuned for additional improvements to Carta permissions, including new role-based access levels for firm members.

A New and Improved Investments Dashboard

Your Investments Dashboard is getting a major refresh, delivering more interactive controls, clearer visibility into the metrics you care about most, and new customization tools, all integrated into a single unified experience.

What's new?

We’ve started rolling out major upgrades that significantly improve your ability to view and customize investment data at the firm, fund, and portfolio company level.

  • More data: We've introduced new metrics and integrated asset-level data directly into the new experience. Instead of navigating separately to your fund view to the metrics on the SOI, everything now lives here.
  • Dynamic Tables: Navigate data easily with sticky headers, infinite scrolling, and dynamic column widths.
  • Flexible Grouping: Group by Fund to view roll-ups and performance at different aggregation levels.
  • Powerful Tagging: Create, apply, and filter investment-level tags to organize by geography, industry, fund, or custom categories.

Coming Soon

We're rolling out additional enhancements in the coming weeks:

  • Filter by fund, fund family, or tags: Easily filter your dashboard view by specific entities, making it faster to find and review exactly what you need.
  • Export your view: Export everything displayed on your screen, including new asset-level details and any applied filters.
  • Group by fund: Currently, your data is grouped by company. Soon, you'll have the option to group investments by fund entity for greater flexibility and insight.
