Updated interest end date fields for convertibles
For convertible notes, we previously used the same field to reflect “Interest last accrued” and “Interest accrual end date.” This was confusing since these two fields can be different dates. We have separated these fields and added tooltips into the details modal of the convertibles to help make the distinctions between these fields clearer.
Interest last accrued: the last date that interest was collected for a convertible. In Carta, this is a calculated date that changes depending on the terms that are set for the convertible and the amount of time that has passed. This can only be viewed in the details modal of the convertible.
Interest accrual end date: a date that can be modified by company administrators and will stop the interest from accruing based on the date set. This will override the maturity date if one is set. Interest accrual end date can be viewed in details modal of the convertible and edited by legal administrators through the modify workflow.
