We’ve added a new subscription details page under company settings. You can now view your Carta subscription with estimated next charge, last charge, features under your plan, and pricing tiers.
We are retiring our ancient “Your session has expired” dialog in favor of a more modern approach, similar to other financial platforms.
Customers will now be taken to the login screen once their session becomes inactive for too long. Logging back in will take customers to the same page they were previously at.

We’re listened to your feedback and added the ability to share and export documents for later viewing or printing. You can access these capabilities on any document viewing screen, by tapping the share button at the top right.

We have introduced a new page for users accepting a security via email. You can now check if you have an account before acceptance. We’ve further improved this process and enabled users to accept a new security with an existing Carta account.
How? You will be prompted after clicking through on the email invite.
If the email exists, you can login and accept your new security in your Tasks.
If you’re a new user, you can register and accept the security in Carta.
We hope this simplifies the acceptance flow for both new and returning users. For questions or concerns, please reach out to support@carta.com
Over the next couple days, we’ll be rolling out a new update to the iOS app.
We heard your feedback from the App Store and have rebuilt our app to improve:
You’ll be able to find our new app on the iOS App Store. As always, we welcome your feedback to feedback-mobile@carta.com.
We now ask for a photo that you can take with your smartphone in just a few seconds. The new process is following best practices in security and makes the process for 2FA reset much faster and safer for our users.
We improved the process of setting up the password when account is being created. Carta now instantly shows how strong is the password and gives recommendations on how to improve it.
These improvements should keep your data safer and experience to be a bit more friendly.
Carta no longer supports Internet Explorer 11. We are committed to deliver a great user experience, and we support all modern browsers.
Customers who try to access Carta through Internet Explorer will now be prompted to download Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.
Sign in with Okta
in place of their email and password. Carta will authenticate that the user has permissions (from the respective company’s Roles and Permissions
page) and a valid account with the company through Okta before logging them in to the Carta site. Once the user is logged in, the admin user may be prompted to create a secondary email address if one hasn’t been provided so as to separate their company admin account from their individual portfolio account.
Companies wishing to add this functionality should contact support or their account representative. Log in with Okta will release on January 2, 2019.
